This Week’s 5 Must‑Stream Releases: From Marvel’s New Disney+ Series to Prime Video’s Killer‑Doll Reboot

Entertainment site GamesRadar+ has rounded up five standout titles to stream over the October 16–18 window, cutting across major platforms like Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV+. The list focuses on brand‑new arrivals and freshly updated series, many of which are (or soon will be) accessible from Japan as well.

The biggest headliner is a new Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 6 series debuting exclusively on Disney+, positioned as the streamer’s flagship launch of the week. Over on Prime Video, the guide spotlights a rebooted TV take on cinema’s most infamous killer doll, originally made famous by the “Child’s Play” horror franchise—timed perfectly for viewers building up to Halloween. Rounding out the picks are a moving drama about love and grief, a music‑centric documentary, and one additional high‑profile series premiere.

For each title, the article lists the streaming platform and exact release date, then suggests how to prioritize your watchlist depending on which services you subscribe to. Because the schedule is written around U.S. release timings, Japanese viewers may see some premieres appear a few hours earlier or later; checking your local app on the stated day is the safest bet if you don’t want to miss these buzzy new arrivals.
