Spanish Streaming Guide Highlights ‘The Diplomat’ and a Wave of Mid‑October Streaming Horror

Spanish outlet Meristation has published a cross‑platform guide to what to watch between October 12 and 18 on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, HBO Max and more. On the Netflix side, the piece singles out the new season of political thriller The Diplomat as “the week’s standout returning series,” praising the way it weaves international crises together with personal drama around its ambassador‑protagonist.

The article also notes how mid‑October is firmly “spooky season” across services. It points to a cluster of new horror and thriller releases: occult‑leaning originals on Netflix, fresh seasons and spin‑offs of established franchises on Disney+ and HBO‑branded platforms, and assorted scary titles across European streamers. While some services and specific titles are harder to access from Japan, the guide is useful for spotting the broader trend: virtually every major VOD platform is using the October 12–18 window to push “scary but irresistible” viewing options ahead of Halloween.
