7 New Movies and Shows to Stream This Weekend on Netflix and More

UK tech outlet TechRadar has published a fresh roundup titled “7 new movies and TV shows to watch on Netflix and more this weekend (October 9),” spotlighting standout releases across Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and other major streamers. Centered on titles debuting or surging in popularity around October 9, the list spans Halloween‑friendly horror, recent theatrical blockbusters now hitting VOD, and family‑friendly animation.

For each pick, TechRadar notes where it’s streaming, when it arrived, and offers a spoiler‑light synopsis plus viewing tips – for instance, whether a show is ideal for a full‑blown weekend binge or better suited as background viewing. On Netflix, the focus is on a new horror release and a buzzy original drama, while Disney+ and Prime Video contribute big‑name movies making their streaming debut.

Regional availability will vary for Japanese viewers, but the article still serves as a useful barometer of what’s catching attention in English‑speaking markets. Seeing which Netflix titles are being recommended as “must‑watch this weekend” can help you prioritize what to check out once those same movies and shows become available on Japanese services.
