Today on Hulu: Daily Updated List Reveals October’s Mix of Horror and Social Dramas

Recommendation site “A Good Movie to Watch” keeps a continuously updated page called “New on Hulu Today,” tracking every title that lands on Hulu by date. The October 10 update reflects peak Halloween season: there’s a noticeable push for horror and thriller films, but the list also includes socially conscious dramas and smaller‑scale indie projects, so it’s not all jump scares and gore.

What sets the site apart from a simple release calendar is its curation layer. Editors assign star ratings and write brief, opinionated blurbs explaining whether each new arrival is genuinely worth your time. While the data is based on the US version of Hulu, it doubles as a useful early warning system for Japanese viewers: titles that score highly here often show up on Hulu Japan or Disney+ in the following months.

Each entry includes genre tags, runtime, and external scores such as IMDb ratings. That makes it easy to filter by mood – whether you’re hunting for a single late‑night horror movie or a lighter comedy to unwind with after work. In a crowded month like October, using this type of curated “what’s new” guide alongside the official catalog can be an effective way to avoid missing quieter but high‑quality releases.
