Netflix drops ‘Unicorn Academy: Secrets Revealed’—a new chapter in its tween fantasy hit

Netflix has added “Unicorn Academy: Secrets Revealed”, a new special installment of its CG-animated series Unicorn Academy, to its lineup starting October 8. The show targets primarily upper–elementary to middle-school kids, especially tween girls, and is based on a popular Irish children’s book series about a magical school where girls bond with unicorn partners and learn to protect their island.

“Secrets Revealed” is positioned as a standalone special that digs deeper into the mysterious history of the academy, tying together threads from previous seasons while staying accessible to newcomers. Netflix highlights it as one of the key family-focused titles in its October slate, and English‑language outlets note that it works both as a treat for existing fans and as an easy entry point for first‑time viewers.

While October streaming coverage often leans heavily toward horror and Halloween‑themed content, Netflix is clearly balancing its lineup with lighter fantasy fare like Unicorn Academy. The franchise has been described in foreign media as a kind of “post–My Little Pony” option for parents looking for gentle, friendship‑driven adventures. Depending on how viewing numbers trend through mid‑October, industry watchers expect this special could pave the way for further spin‑offs and expanded world‑building within the brand.
