Your Early‑October Streaming Calendar: What’s New on Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and More

Tom’s Guide has also published a broad “New TV shows and movies for October 2026” guide that functions as an early‑October streaming calendar. It lines up major premieres and fresh episodes across broadcast, cable and platforms including Netflix, HBO Max, Prime Video and Disney+, giving readers a date‑by‑date overview of what’s arriving where.

Starting with Monday, October 5, the guide breaks down each day’s notable drops and labels which service they’re on. That includes Netflix drama launches, new seasons of family‑friendly series on Disney+, and nights when cable episodes become available on VOD shortly after airing. Rather than going deep on any single show, the article focuses on helping viewers see the bigger picture of how the month is being programmed.

The result is a planning tool: it quickly reveals which services are leaning into horror, which are emphasizing kids’ animation or documentaries, and where returning fan‑favorite series sit on the calendar. For Japanese viewers who follow overseas trends or use multiple international services, the schedule offers a useful reference—even though specific Japan release dates may differ or some titles may arrive later, the calendar shows what’s shaping global streaming conversation in early October.
