Hulu’s October 2026 Slate Packs in Ghostbusters, The Hunger Games and More Franchise Marathons

Hulu has rolled out its full schedule of new arrivals for October 2026, and the first day of the month is doing a lot of heavy lifting. According to multiple preview articles, October 1 brings a wave of well‑known film franchises, including the Ghostbusters movies and The Hunger Games series, making it an ideal moment for viewers who like to marathon entire sagas over a weekend. The mix of supernatural comedy, action and dystopian rebellion is clearly calibrated to line up with Halloween season.

Alongside those big‑name series, Hulu’s own guides lay out the rest of the month in a simple, date‑by‑date format. That makes it easier to slot in newer shows, animated titles and family‑friendly picks around the higher‑profile film drops, whether you’re building a horror‑heavy watchlist or looking for something lighter between scary movies.

The exact catalog differs by territory — Hulu Japan operates under a separate licensing structure — but the programming philosophy travels well. October on Hulu is framed as a month for settling in with multi‑film franchises and long‑running shows. For Japanese viewers, checking the local monthly schedule and cross‑referencing it with these U.S. highlights can be a good way to design an “autumn binge plan” that balances spooky viewing with big‑budget escapism.
