Klaviyo turns up the heat on creator marketing with AI personalization and social CRM

Marketing automation company Klaviyo used its October 19 product update to stake out a bigger role in the creator and D2C economy. In a newsroom post, the company detailed new AI‑powered personalization models, an expanded data platform with SQL access, and a fresh product called Klaviyo Social Marketing that turns social engagement into a formal CRM channel.

The upgraded personalization engine is designed to go beyond email and SMS, with voice support on the roadmap. The idea is to let brands and solo creators orchestrate “right message, right moment” campaigns automatically across channels, using behavioral and purchase signals held in Klaviyo’s customer data platform.

Klaviyo Social Marketing pulls reactions and comments from networks like Instagram into the same profile view that already stores orders and email history. That lets teams treat a high‑intent Reel comment much like a warm email subscriber, triggering follow‑ups or offers based on unified data. Combined with autonomous AI agents that can propose and execute campaigns, Klaviyo is pushing to evolve from an email tool into a full‑blown B2C CRM where creators and brands manage fan relationships end to end.
