Salesforce unveils AIforce, a live interface layer that pipes its CRM into any AI agent

At its Dreamforce 2026 conference, CRM giant Salesforce announced “AIforce,” a new service it describes as a live interface layer for the Salesforce platform. The idea is to let AI agents, chatbots, and other front‑end interfaces tap directly into the customer data, workflows, and business logic already stored in Salesforce, without users having to click through dashboards themselves.

Today, sales reps and support agents typically log into Salesforce, search across multiple views, and then manually trigger actions. With AIforce, they can instead issue natural‑language requests, while an agent behind the scenes calls into Salesforce in a governed way — respecting permissions, compliance rules, and existing automations. The responses can then surface inside whatever tools a company already uses, such as chat apps or custom web interfaces.

Salesforce is positioning AIforce as the connective tissue for the “agentic” era of enterprise software, especially when combined with its existing Einstein AI capabilities. As more organizations build their own AI agents, a key question will be how safely those agents can work with sensitive CRM data. AIforce aims to become that trusted middle layer, and its adoption will be a useful barometer of how quickly enterprises move beyond simple chatbots toward fully integrated AI workflows.
