Type a prompt, get a corporate video: Socialive debuts its Catalyst engine

US-based enterprise video platform Socialive has started early access for “Catalyst,” a new AI‑powered video creation engine aimed at corporate teams. Socialive is best known as a cloud service for producing webinars, virtual events, and internal communications, but Catalyst pushes it further: instead of timelines and complex editors, users describe the video they want in plain language and let the system assemble it end‑to‑end.

According to the announcement, a selected group of existing customers will test Catalyst in beta beginning mid‑September, with broader availability expected in October. Users can type prompts like “Create a 2‑minute product intro video with separate versions for sales and recruiting,” and Catalyst will generate script options, structure, and suggested clips. It also ties into a company’s existing asset library and brand templates, then exports multiple versions optimized for social platforms or internal portals.

For many organizations, demand for explainer and training videos has outgrown the number of people who can actually produce them. Tools like Catalyst, which make video feel closer to building a slide deck than operating a studio, could shift production from specialized teams to everyday knowledge workers in marketing, HR, and support. Pricing and language support, including Japanese, will be key factors to watch as the service moves beyond beta.
