Apple’s first foldable iPhone Duo turns into a 7.6-inch AI‑powered work canvas

At its September 9 product event in Cupertino, Apple introduced the iPhone Duo, the company’s first foldable iPhone. Closed, it behaves like a familiar 5.4‑inch smartphone. Open it up and you get a 7.6‑inch inner display—roughly tablet‑sized—aimed at multitasking, gaming and creative work. New CEO John Ternus framed Duo as both a flagship phone and a new device category, launched alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max.

The Duo inherits Apple’s latest processor and camera system from the 18 Pro line, and early hands‑on reports highlight a tighter hinge and a less noticeable crease compared with many Android foldables.
