Indian consumer tech brand URBAN has announced a new wearable called the URBAN ARC NOTE, pitched as “India’s first AI Meeting Smart Fitness Band.” Instead of yet another smartwatch with a bright screen, ARC NOTE deliberately goes screen‑free, combining an AI‑powered meeting assistant with full‑time fitness and sleep tracking in a single band.

Using its built‑in microphone, the band records meetings and discussions, then uploads the audio so an AI service can generate summaries and action items. The idea is that you can walk into a meeting without opening your laptop or note app and still walk out with structured minutes and tasks. At the same time, ARC NOTE offers standard wellness features like continuous heart‑rate monitoring, step counts, and sleep analysis, so it can stay on your wrist 24/7.

The device is priced at 6,999 INR (roughly in the low‑¥10,000 range) and is scheduled to go on sale in India on September 7, with pre‑orders opening from August 31. While there’s no confirmed global rollout yet, its “no‑screen” approach may resonate with professionals who feel overloaded by smartwatch notifications and want a calmer, more ambient way to bring AI into daily work and health routines.
