Construct Computer Gives AI Coworkers Their Own Cloud Desktop

US-based startup Construct has officially launched “Construct Computer,” an AI employee platform that gives each agent its own persistent cloud desktop – complete with browser, terminal, files, email, and calendar. The product went live on August 23 and quickly climbed to the top of Product Hunt’s daily rankings, drawing attention from founders looking to offload repetitive work to automation.

Instead of chatting with an assistant in a single text window, you assign tasks to an AI “coworker.” That agent then operates inside a browser-based virtual machine running in the cloud, clicking through web dashboards, compiling reports, and organizing documents while you do other work or even close your laptop. Because the desktop state and memory persist across sessions, the agent can pick up where it left off and run recurring workflows on a schedule.

Construct also leans heavily on integrations: any MCP server or external skill installs like an app, and the resulting automations can be shared with the entire team. Typical examples include weekly competitor scans, invoice-to-spreadsheet pipelines, and automated inbox triage.
