Siket turns your browser’s new tab into a productivity command center

Most browsers still greet you with a blank or near-empty page every time you open a new tab. Siket, a newly launched web app and extension, wants to turn that otherwise wasted moment into the starting point of your workday. Over the last couple of days it’s been making the rounds in productivity circles for its “command center” approach to the new‑tab page.

Instead of a static start screen, Siket replaces your new tab with a dashboard that brings together to‑dos, a focus timer, snapshots of your email and calendar, saved tab sessions, and even a simple habit tracker. On top of that, it bakes in a context‑aware AI assistant that can talk to multiple large language models, including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini, as well as user‑provided API keys.

The idea is to go beyond a pretty home screen: Siket can use your current browsing context and recent activity to help draft replies, break down tasks, or resurface what you were working on before you got distracted. Because it ships as both a web app and an extension for Chrome, Edge, and Brave, it’s relatively easy to try, and it positions the browser itself as a lightweight workspace rather than just a window onto other tools.
