NVIDIA backs Verily Health to build out AI‑ready healthcare data platform

NVIDIA has made a new strategic investment in US‑based Verily Health, a company focused on AI‑enabled precision health solutions. Verily operates the Pre Platform, which helps hospitals and research organizations aggregate and structure patient data for analysis, along with Verily Me, a patient‑facing engagement app. Together, these products are designed to lay the groundwork for more personalized care powered by machine learning.

The deal extends a US$300 million financing round announced in March 2026, with NVIDIA joining existing backer CU Healthcare Innovation Fund. Verily plans to use the fresh capital to expand tools that turn messy clinical records and other health data into “AI‑ready” formats, and to strengthen privacy‑preserving techniques for training and deploying models in sensitive healthcare environments.

For NVIDIA, the move is part of a broader push beyond GPUs into full‑stack healthcare infrastructure, from data platforms to industry‑specific software. As health systems wrestle with electronic medical records, genomic data, and information from wearables, demand is rising for platforms that can safely unlock this data for AI. Similar infrastructure pressures are likely to emerge in Japan, where hospitals and insurers are also exploring how far they can go in using AI while still complying with strict privacy rules.
