Alibaba Unveils Qwen3.8‑Max, Its Most Powerful Model Yet, to Challenge U.S. AI Leaders

On August 4, Chinese tech giant Alibaba introduced Qwen3.8‑Max, describing it as the company’s most powerful large language model to date. Large language models, the core technology behind systems like ChatGPT, are general‑purpose AI models capable of advanced text generation, reasoning and code synthesis.
